I am trying to understand how image sizing works. I have an image that is 1200 x 800 and about 1.3MB. I am using a fullwidth easy slider to show my main image at the top of the webpage. For the image size I am selecting the Featured 1500 x 430. What seems to be happening is that it is focusing in the middle of my image. Even if I reduce the size of my image to 900 x 600 for example the same thing happens. How do i optimise my image to make it fit nicely within this featured image option?
Thanks

You can find all image sizes here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-image-sizes/#post-336176

RikardMay 8, 2015 at 9:41 am #441459OK so the featured image is 1500 x 430. As I already stated my original image is 1200 x 800 and it is not possible to scale it up. Therefore when I select that image as the featured image it seems to zoom in on a particular section of the image and expand it from there or uses that section that it zooms in on.
Is there anyway around this to get my picture to fit as it is in the feature image?
Thanks!
May 9, 2015 at 4:26 am #441846Hi!
Are you referring to the post featured image? This is the post featured image thumbnail sizes:
$avia_config['imgSize']['entry_with_sidebar'] = array('width'=>845, 'height'=>321); // big images for blog and page entries $avia_config['imgSize']['entry_without_sidebar']= array('width'=>1210, 'height'=>423 );
One for post with sidebar and other is for posts without sidebar. Please give us a link to the post with the issue. 1.3MB for an image with a size of 1200x800px is a bit too big. Please resave it using any image editor as jpg with optimize quality.
Cheers!

May 13, 2015 at 6:02 am #443535Hi!
The full width slider, as you probably noticed in the name, will always be full width. It will stretch the image to be as big as possible to cover the whole container. I checked the page and then I review the inquiry but I don’t understand what you’re trying to change or what you’re expecting when you add the image in the slider, I’m sorry.
Is there anyway around this to get my picture to fit as it is in the feature image?
Can you please provide a screenshot of the page layout that you want or expecting when you add the featured image or slider?
Best regards,
Ismael -
