AT http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview (THE ONE PAGE RESTAURANT) – there’s a full width but short picture of a wine glass, and the text “our menu”. It scrolls with the parallax effect when scrolling across the page.
How do i do that effect?
I have made a color section with a picture background with a widget and a text in it. Set the parallax option on, and done almost all other combinations of setting. I’m on a Chrome browser, if this info helps.May 2, 2015 at 7:53 pm #438411bump – nobody knows??
May 3, 2015 at 9:46 pm #438580Hi!
It is Color Section element with a custom background image. It sounds like you have followed the correct way to replicate it.
You can turn debugging mode on – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
and add following shortcode into the new section that will appear below Advanced Layout Builder to replicate the page – http://pastebin.com/f1zxpKFPBest regards,
YigitMay 10, 2015 at 8:50 pm #442140Thanks Yigit for taking your time to help me – you’re obviously very talented. But i’m not clever enough for this.
i DID find out, however, that i can “READ” the parallax effect- thing on other websites, but it’s broken when i try to use it on my own website. I found out by importing the one page restaurant – the parallax pictures were broken.
So how do i solve this?
(i use Chrome, WP is version 4.2.2, Enfold is 3.1.5)May 10, 2015 at 9:08 pm #442143also, the same goes for the shrinking transparent header – that i cant get to work either. Again, it renders fine but it doesn work when executed on my own website, not even the imported restaurant-theme-files.

not sure if I understand, but can you please provide us admin access, so we can hopefully see what’s going on? post login details here as private reply. Screenshots could help as well to make things clear for us (imgur.com, dropbox).
Cheers!

I could not find those pages but i see that you are using a color section with background image on your home page. Please edit your Color Section element and set “background attachment” to “parallax” – http://i.imgur.com/kcpY9aC.jpg
Cheers!

There is javascript error on the page. What is this code for?
<script type="text/javascript"> var $theColor = "#FFFFFF"; // alert($theColor); $(document).ready(function(){ fadeThemBorders($theColor); }); </script>
Please remove it then test the parallax effect here: http://mikkels.com/test-parallax/
Regards,
IsmaelMay 16, 2015 at 4:34 pm #445276Because part of the code says “fadeThemBorders” i thought it was a plugin that fades image borders, but after deleting that – and the files – i can still not do parallax. Not even on the page that You made. I inserted a text block on the second image, but nothing parallaxes – it WILL however, show the picture and text when set to parallax, that’s more than it will on my GLDA-page, where the image disappears when set to parallax.
HOw can i find that javascript in the code?
May 19, 2015 at 1:28 pm #446395Hi!
can you please deactivate all you plugins to see if one is causing this issue of not seeing parallax effect on your images? Afterwards you can activate them again one by one to see which one is causing this problem. Are we allowed to deactivate your plugins temporarily if necessary?
Don’t forget to clear browser cache.Regards,
AndyMay 19, 2015 at 2:27 pm #446423Yes, please go ahead.
I’ve cleared the browser cacheMay 21, 2015 at 4:37 pm #447818Hey!
hm … not sure what is causing it. Did you contact your host about it and asked if they are using any kind of caching? Looks as if you would need to delete all theme files and get a fresh copy from your themeforest account. There seem to be some corrupted files. Make sure to have a backup.
Let us know if you are done and still need help.Regards,
