    I’d like to push the navigation down further so its not centered in relation to the header size. ie it sits closer to the bottom of the header container.

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    .logo img { top: 10px; }

    If that does not help, please post the link to your website.
