Hello,
A website we have designed is not currently displaying correctly on mobile devices – cell phone and iPads. Please advise.April 30, 2015 at 7:23 pm #437724The website is: http://www.publicsafetydivesupply.com/
A few days ago it was displaying fine on mobile devices. We tried deactivating all plugins – no change. We switched themes to see if there was any difference, but since we are using the sliders in Enfold that doesn’t show up in other themes anyway (not much help trying that).
We are not using Jetpack (or equivalent). Our .htaccess file was hacked a few days ago, to redirect to spam site, but that has been fixed and there is no malware (or anything else wrong) on the rest of the site.April 30, 2015 at 11:05 pm #437839We are having the exact same issue. Any word on how to fix it? Our site displays fine on desktop and our .htaccess file has been fixed.

Could you please provide screenshots to highlight the issue? @DanaLMahoney could you also include a link for the site in question?
Cheers!
RikardMay 4, 2015 at 5:32 pm #439132Hey Rikard,
It appears on the mobile devices that the sliders are not working (or visible) and that the navigation icons have disappeared. (Here’s screen shot off iPhone)May 5, 2015 at 9:11 am #439569Hey!
I get the same error on my iphone, very strange since it appears on a desktop browser when making the window smaller horizontally. Could you try to deactivate all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?
Best regards,
RikardMay 5, 2015 at 7:35 pm #439951Hi Rikard,
Thanks for getting back to me. I tried that once already, but just did it again – and no changes.-Christy
May 7, 2015 at 9:34 am #440843Hey!
You have this css code which hides the slider:
@media only screen and (max-width: 480px) { #layer_slider_1 { display: none; }}
Is that intentional? Please remove it if not. Try to deactivate the plugins again then remove browser cache. Test it again or use another browser.
Cheers!
IsmaelMay 7, 2015 at 5:18 pm #441097Hi Ismael,
Thanks for looking into it. I put in the css code yesterday to see what difference it would make on the cell phones, as without the code is a huge blank area (see above attachment). I pulled it out. I deactivated all the plugins (for the 3rd time) and removed browser cache (no changes). This issue is only on mobile devices – the site looks fine on regular pcs and macs. The sliders are not appearing and also the navigation (and icon) have disappeared on mobile. I’ve been reading over other threads and trying to add the css here and there to see if anything changes, no luck yet, so then I pull out the custom css.May 10, 2015 at 4:28 am #442038Hey!
Looks like the site is using a CDN service from google. What happens when you purge the cache?
Cheers!
IsmaelMay 11, 2015 at 6:07 pm #442606Hi Ismael,
I just flushed the cache for RR Types: A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, NS, PTR, SOA, SRV, and TXT
– no change.May 12, 2015 at 11:28 pm #443447Hello all,
Our customer had SiteLock set-up on GoDaddy and apparently it found (and fixed) some malignant code – now everything is working fine on mobile devices. Thank you all for your help in trying to pinpoint this problem. -
