    Hi,

    I am trying to upload Enfold installation zip file, but I got the 500-Internal Server Error notice.

    Could you please advise what could possibly cause this?

    Hi antonius0809!

    Please try de-activating all active plugins and.
    Also, try to increase the allocated memory to 128M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
    You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.

    I have asked my service provider to increase allocated memory to 128 MB, but they said to do that I would need an upgraded plan.

    She suggested I first tried updating my PHP version to the latest. She also mentioned with the latest WP version 4.2, there have been some issues like that.

    So for now I am trying updating my PHP to the latest version, and I will see how it goes. I will report back.

    anyway, i wonder if i have tried to upload the wrong file. what i uploaded was:

    themeforest-4519990-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme.zip

    directly as I downloaded it from themeforest.

    I still could not install it. This is the page i received:

    500 – Internal Server Error
    This is a temporary server error.
    Please try to reload the webpage later.
    If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.

    Common reasons for this error are:

    Incorrect file/directory permissions: Above 755.
    In order files to be processed by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or below 755. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel’s File Manager.

    Incorrect Apache directives inside .htaccess file.
    Make sure you have not specified unsupported directives inside the local .htaccess file. Such include PHP settings and Apache module settings.

    In the cPanel error log, i saw this::

    [Fri Apr 24 23:27:35 2015] [error] Execute of /home/almonici/public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php stopped because of load 30.84
    [Fri Apr 24 23:25:35 2015] [error] Execute of /home/almonici/public_html/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php stopped because of load 29.83

    Please help.

    Hey!

    Could you try to upload it directly via FTP? If you get error there it’s definitely a problem with your hosting. http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Hi Rikard… it worked out.. it turned out I uploaded the wrong zip file.. what I uploaded was the whole zip file… the containing documentation and all… everything is okay now.. thanks,.. this thread can be closed / marked as solved now..
