    I think I’ve found a bug in contact form. If there is no field with “check correct e-mail input”, the message generated just will not arrive. And SMTP plugins won’t help. If there is such a field, it will arrive. But what if I want a visitor to leave just a phone number? Please fix it.

    Hey Vermishelle!

    Enfold is not using any specific contact form but the standard one from WordPress. I think this is normal WordPress behavior, to prevent spam. You could search for another contact form, like contact form 7 for example.

    Sorry, what is a “standard WP form”? Just to make it clear. I didn’t find any standard shortcode for forms.

    I have the same bug. Sometimes it gets sent to the junkmail. But nothing in the mail except
    {email_body}
    {email_title}

    and similar tags

    Hey!

    You can use this plugin to configure a SMTP and WordPress/Enfold will use that instead of WP_Mail.

    Cheers!

    Yes, I tried that plugin before writing, that’s what I meant with “SMTP plugins won’t help”.

    The fact that the theme’s form uses https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_mail does not excuse the situation. And I think it has nothing to do with spam. Just the email field filled in the form becomes “from:” field in the email being sent, and when there is no email, the sender script breaks. And it’s not the default behavior of wp_mail, it’s the theme’s bug.

    I prefer to stick to default CF, as side plugins always make site load slower, most of the time much slower.

    Here are my extra observations.

    If there is a field named “E-mail”, the message from CF will come. No matter, if it’s filled or blank. If it’s blank, from: field will look like this: “<“, but it will come anyway.
    But if there is no field named E-mail, message will not come. Even if there’s a field, let’s say Email1 with e-mail correct input check.

    Now it should be clear, and if you care a bit, please fix it.

    Hi!

    please try with a default WordPress theme, to double check. Let us know about your results. Screenshots would be nice to see (imgur.com, dropbox). If you don’t have the same issue when activating default WordPress theme, then please send us admin access so we can take a closer look into the problem.

    Cheers!
