    I am attempting to get rid of blog comments, but cannot figure it out.

    I’ve received some help on a different thread, however could not get it to work.

    Here is the CSS code I have attempted:

    
.comment-entry.post-entry {
display: none !important;
}

.comment-container { display: none !important; }

.slide-meta-comments { display: none !important; }

    Hey haydaw!

    Please edit your blog post and click on “Screen options” on the right top corner and check “Discussion” then scroll down and uncheck “Allow comments” – http://i.imgur.com/HpmC0ZA.png

    Thanks a ton! Your the best, 10 minutes before my meeting too!

    Could you possibly point me in the right direction for increasing the blog post width? Or would this only be able to be achieved by editing the entire sites width?

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

    .single .container {
  max-width: 1280px;
}

    In case anyone else is looking for how to remove Blog comments, and especially for imported post where you do not want to manually deactivate comments on each page, you can simply go to the Discussion settings and then check the box ” Automatically close comments on articles older than” and then set it to ‘1 days ‘

    This will by default turn off all comments on any post you have imported.
