My client has a logo with a graphical tagline, and it’s just too big to work as a single logo, so I’ve broken it up into two parts. I’d like the tagline / secondary part of the logo to live in a div centered above the menu. What’s the best way to accomplish this?
Hey!
Please add following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor
add_filter('avf_logo_subtext', 'kriesi_logo_addition');
function kriesi_logo_addition($sub) {
$sub .= "Company Name";
return $sub;
}
and change “company name” as needed. You may need custom CSS code after adding the code to Functions.php file. In that case, please do not forget to attach a screenshot showing the changes you would like to make as well

Thanks for the reply. I probably should have pointed out that I’m using a child theme to avoid CSS collisions with some of the things I needed to change for the client. I added the code block you supplied to the child theme’s functions.php but I’m not seeing any change — where *should* I be seeing this?
Aah, now I see, it’s created a span but it’s hidden beneath the front page slider. If you look at the URL I supplied in my original post, I’m looking to center this element above the current avia-menu div.
Given this, should this subtext class remain a child of the logo class, or maybe modified to be a child of the main menu?
Thanks,
Dan
I found the ‘ava_inside_main_menu’ hook and used that and it does exactly what I need. Thanks!
Hey!
