Today I freshly installed Enfold. I experimented a lot with the variety of options in order to get that unique touch I want to give to my site.
I started with applying a logo containing black text (Dotamelo_logo_black_blue) on a header without transparency. After I changed it to have transparency. Them I concluded I needed the white text variant (Dotamelo_logo_white_blue). Both media files were already uploaded before, so I selected from the media library the other variant. This action though did not update the header, so it still showed the black text version. I repeated it multiple times, it had the same result. I decided to delete the black_text version, this resulted in the famous ‘?’ sign at the location where the logo should appear.
I had a look in the HTML code (see below), and I was surprised to see a reference to the black text file still being present, while it’s nowhere referenced anymore. In the Enfold menu theme options, at all locations (including preloaded) the white version is shown.
<strong class=’logo’><span class=’subtext’>
I run my site locally at the moment of time, so it is not possible to connect. Though I used the Photography Demo as starting point, and just replaced the photo used, modified the color setup, changed the menu to be at the top, uploaded new logos and set the transparant option.
Ok, this is not a bug, so the above comment can be ignored. I found out that there is a way to specify a separate logo for transparency setups. It’s a good option, just takes time to find out all possible tweaks and their impacts :-)
