Hi guys (or girls),
Just done an update and just found the addition of the using the Avia builder on the products page… Awesome!!!!
Just a quick one though… when I add product to cart (when built with the builder) I don’t get the message ‘Added to cart – view cart’ anymore.
I still have other products still using default ‘build/style’ and they are showing the message fine.Any ideas? Otherwise I will set it up to go straight to cart when product is added, so the customers knows it has been added.
If you do know a quick fix, please could you let me know as I like the flexibility of using the builder on the product page, but also like the ‘message’ rather than the ‘redirect’.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
JayP.S. sorry no credentials, in test mode.
April 1, 2015 at 5:32 pm #422040Hi Jason!
Your talking about the “Product Purchase Button” in the layout builder correct? It should be using AJAX to add your product to the cart. Your saying it’s redirecting you to the cart when you click on it?
Make sure you do not have the “Redirect to the cart page after successful addition ” option checked in Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display.
Cheers!

Thanks for the reply and sorry been a bit late on the reply.
I do have the button in place. I did NOT have the redirect setup. With this setup if I click ‘add to cart’ I don’t get a notice above the product saying ‘product added to cart – view cart’. Instead the ‘floating’ cart on the side opens up and populates with the new product.
I don’t want the floating cart on the side so I have used CSS to hide it, but now there is no way of knowing if a product has been added to cart without going to the cart to check.
If I don’t use the builder, then the notice comes up as it should, but if my product uses the builder the notices does show up.

April 15, 2015 at 4:32 pm #429032Hey!
I’m not sure I understand what your wanting to do. You can either have it so the add to cart button displays a notification with AJAX or redirect the user to the cart page. Send us a link to your page and take a screenshot highlighting your intentions.

I see. So your wanting our custom button shortcode when used in the avia layout builder to display the green “added to cart” message instead of our own AJAX cart that displays in the top right hand corner.
I’m not sure if that is going to be possible or not. AJAX often requires that the HTML be the same so it can find where to insert the results. In this case it would be best to just use the default editor so all of the necessary HTML is loaded on the product.
Consider creating a feature request here, https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/, and if it gets enough interest we’ll see if we can get an option added in a future update.
Cheers!
