I’m getting this message in Appearance –> Customizer: “Session expired. Please log in again. You will not move away from this page.” and getting kicked out. I then log in, and get kicked out again.

    Here’s the sequence of events:
-I built site in a sub directory
-successfully moved to main directory using the PHP file change
    – then icon Images didn’t show up from the Enfold theme. I added this text to .htaccess file as instructed on this forum: Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin “*”, it worked, all theme icons magically appeared again. Yippie. All good.
-But now the wp dashboard is working ok, except when I go to Appearance –> Customizer screen. At this point, “You are Customizing”, “Site Title & Tagline”, “Navigation”, and “Static Front Page” all appear, but “Widgets” doesn’t and that’s when I get thrown off. If I close Customizer with the top left “x” I’m back in the main WP admin dashboard/developer area, whatever it is called. Note: I was able to make some changes going directly to Widgets via the Widget selection under Appearance on the side menu area.

That’s the first thing I need to fix, and even more so now because this morning when I installed WooCommerce it threw off my entire footer column widgets.

FYI, I was able to take care of footer widgets through the Widgets screen under Appearance. So problem solved on that end, but still want to know why Customizer screen kicking me out. Especially since I can accomplish things from other areas of the wp console area.

    Hey!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

First, I would like to mention that the theme is not built for the “Customizer”. There are only three options there so I don’t think you will be using that panel more than you will be using the theme’s advance layout builder or shortcodes. Regarding the issue at hand, please refer to this link: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/session-instantly-expires-customizephp

In wordpress settings > general menu I had my “site address (URL)” set to “www.domain.com” when I switched it back to just “domain.com” that worked for me.

    Regards,
    Ismael
