I’ve just upgraded to 3.1.1 and now my woocommerce product pages have a sidebar whereas before they didn’t.
See: http://ridelines.digitalessence.net/product/level-1-noviceimprover/
March 19, 2015 at 12:09 am #414047Hi, I think I just had the same problem.
Try to look at widgets + ‘displayed everywhere’ + ‘shop overview’ + ‘single product page’
If there is some widgets that should not be there, remove them.Hope it helps,
Regards Pete
March 19, 2015 at 12:15 am #414051Thanks Pete,
You are spot on. But I’ve rolled back as I’m seeing far too many odd things tonight and it’s hampering development.
Will leave the upgrade until I get time to test it on a dev site.
March 19, 2015 at 2:23 pm #414390Hi!
Thank you for using Enfold.
@DigitalEssense: Can you please provide a link to the dev site? We would like to check it.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 19, 2015 at 5:04 pm #414635Hi,
it’s
http://ridelines.digitalessence.net/product/level-1-noviceimprover/
and user/pass details are at the top of this thread.
I’ve just reinstalled the new 3.1.1 and done a before and after screenshot. http://tinypic.com/r/o8i5ac/8
March 19, 2015 at 5:29 pm #414664In addition to the sidebar being added. The View options button on the product loop has also disappeared.
If you look at: http://screencast.com/t/NOP0e2dnk
There used to be a button there until I upgraded to 3.1.1
I’ve just tested removing all of my css using the web developer tool and the button is still missing so it’s down to that.
March 20, 2015 at 7:27 am #415074Hey!
If you want to disable the sidebar, you can set it manually for each products or add this to the Quick CSS field:
#top #main .single-product-main-image .sidebar { display: none !important; }
You can also set the Sidebar Settings > Sidebar on Single Post Entries to “No Sidebar”.
Regards,
IsmaelMarch 20, 2015 at 2:29 pm #415268Hi Ismael,
The setting is already set to no sidebar:
http://screencast.com/t/7RJqCIcUALR4
And it wasn’t present before the upgrade to 3.1.1
Also, have you been able to look at the disappearing buttons in the product loop? They were present before the upgrade and now have gone.
March 22, 2015 at 5:17 am #415862Hi!
Please use the css code above to remove the sidebar. I can see the “Add to basket” button inside the product page. Is that what you’re referring to?
Regards,
IsmaelMarch 22, 2015 at 11:30 pm #416131Same issue. Definitely don’t want the sidebar there, and can’t get it to go away. …and sorry, but simply using the css code is not a solution, it’s a band-aid.
And for some, it’s a band-aid that may not work. For instance, I was considering actually using the sidebar area on some of my products, but not all, and it was going to be implemented with some php code that would hid or display the sidebar (and other areas of the regular product page) by filtering for product category. The css you provided would keep me from doing any of that.
March 24, 2015 at 12:47 am #416817Hey!
Please create a new thread with the website url and login credentials. We’ll check it there. We can’t seem to reproduce the issue on our installation so try to deactivate all plugins.
Best regards,
IsmaelMarch 24, 2015 at 1:24 pm #417044Hi Ismael,
I’ve removed all plugins apart from WooCommerce Version 2.3.7 and the issue is still present. Enfold is on 3.1.1
I am running a child theme but have removed all css (kept the minimum required to run a child theme) and have removed all php coding but it is still present.
March 27, 2015 at 4:41 pm #419392Hi!
@DigitalEssence, Your product loop looks very odd. Are you using a plugin for that? If so then you’ll need to contact the plugin authors. Otherwise send us a WordPress login so we can take a closer look.
@wsnider28, If your using the latest version of Enfold then you can switch to the advanced layout editor when editing your product and set the layout to no sidebar. You can then design how your product displays with our layout elements.Cheers!

Well when I view your page I see the button on my end. Your saying it’s not displaying for you? What operating system and browser version are you using?

ElliottApril 2, 2015 at 6:14 pm #422672Hi Elliott,
This ticket is about the sidebar in woocommerce product pages. The button was another issue that I have resolved.
April 3, 2015 at 5:55 pm #423194Hi!
That appears to be working fine also.
Right now you have a bunch of widgets set to the “Display Everywhere” widget area which, like it says in the name, will display everywhere. If you do not want that then remove those widgets and drag some other widgets to the “Single Product Pages” widget area which is for the single product view. I went ahead and dragged the advertising widget over to it so you can see it’s working.
Best regards,
ElliottApril 4, 2015 at 11:47 am #423426Hi Elliott,
thanks. That has indeed fixed the issue.
I would just like to say that this sidebar wasn’t showing prior to the upgrade and that the Enfold upgrade added them to my site. This seems to be backed up by the other user as well.
Thanks.
Hedley
