Can Enfold handle a huge amount of authors?

I guess this is a question to the community as much as it is to the mods.

Can Enfold handle a huge amount of authors? I have read posts about multi-author blogs in these forums, but not many that specify a large number. I’m thinking something like 100 authors. Can it almost be like a mini-Wordpress in itself and host a variety of authors (all posting within the Enfold theme)? I know it’s in the functionality (user creation, assigning roles, limiting certain backend areas) but I’m wondering how far it can be pushed.

So basically, I am not talking about a full-blown member site, but more like a huge multi-author blog. Anyone have any experience or knowledge with this? And if you do, any particular plugins you’d recommend in this regard?
