Hello
I recently bought Enfold as a theme for our new business website. One thing I didn’t think about beforehand, was that the company is actually split in three, and apparently on the new site, even though the information is the same for all three, they want to be able to split it, so you first chosse one of the three, and after that you see the same page underneath. So I don’t have to make the same page 3 times for multiple pages, is it possible to make a reference from all three, so they all get to the same page?
To make it more understandable: It’s 3 different cities, who have the same courses. First you must press the city, and then you get to a page with courses. And even though that page is the same, they want to have the cities in focus, instead of the courses. There’s also other stuff, like for instance news, but you must first choose the city, to get to the news. Does this makes sense, and is it possible?
Kind regards,
– Steffen

It sounds like what your wanting is a select field on a page and when a city is selected then it will pull in specific content via AJAX. Unfortunately that would take a lot of time and code and would have to be considered custom work.
There are lots of alternatives you could do though. Such as setting up a tab element for each city or perhaps some accordions.
Best regards,

Thanks a lot for the response. I didn’t get a notification about your reply, so sorry for not getting back sooner.
It’s not exactly the thing i’m looking for. To ask as simple as I can: Is it possible to make a page in the backend, and then use that page multiple places on the site? For instance if you have a lot of contact information on a page. Now if you want that contact information as part of another page, can you put it there aswell, and then when you edit the information one place, it’s also changed on the other?

Not that I know of. There might be a plugin out there that has this functionality.
We do have a “template” feature where you can create your own templates to re-use but that only works for the site you create the template on and it does not let you edit the template to “auto update” every instance.
Cheers!
ElliottMarch 4, 2015 at 1:03 pm #405716Didn’t even see that function, thank you! Although it’s not exactly that since it can’t “auto update” as you said, it’s very useful, if I want to change information multiple places. Thanks!
For anyone stumbling upon this question: I found out, that shortcodes can generate a page on another page, but I haven’t looked in to it further. Maybe a plugin can do the trick.
