    Hey guys,

    Wordfence gave me a notification that the upgrade.php file and version.php have been edited. I couldn’t find another topic about this so I hope not to bother ya’ll. Is this just a false positive as I know that the theme automatically checks for updates as it pulls version info from Themeforest. Can anyone verify this?

    Hi Jared!

    The theme does not touch those files afaik. I’d suggest re-installing WordPress just to make sure those files don’t contain malicious code.

    Did you recently update WordPress to 4.1? that could have been.

    I couldn’t tell you. As 4.1 was only a point update, I bet GoDaddy silently updated. Should I just monitor my site and see if I notice any other changes and report back here if something odd does occur? I’m guessing you guys don’t handle the technical side of WordPress as far as malicious code is concerned.
