I have a page (http://kindledclass.com/tech-tools/easy-apps-tools/) where I’m trying to use columns with embedded widgets. However, the widgets keep stacking in the same column, even though they’ve been placed in separate columns in the editor. I can’t figure out if this is an Enfold layout issue or a problem with the widget/tool I’m embedding.

I’ve tried this with using the embed code instead of the widget tool. I’ve tried it with the drag-and-drop editor and without it (plain editor).

    Help!
I’m using Chrome browser (if that helps).
The page I’m working on is: http://kindledclass.com/tech-tools/easy-apps-tools/

    Thanks!

    Hey Amanda!

It looks like this widget is from a plugin correct? It looks like it’s going to use a lot of scripting. Are you sure you can use it twice on the same page? What happens in the default theme?

EDIT: While I was looking at your page I hit the refresh button and now I’m getting a 503 service unavailable error in regards to your widget.

    "NetworkError: 503 Service Unavailable - https://edshelf.com/collection-widget?id=&type=collection&format=grid&same_window=false"
    collect...w=false
Blocked loading mixed active content "/error.html"

Contact the plugin authors and let them know about this.

    Regards,
    Elliott

Weird. It’s an embeddable widget code from this site: https://edshelf.com/profile/kindled/blogging-tools

I’m not having that issue when I load the page. Maybe it resolved?

I’ll contact them because it may be an issue with the way they code the widget. I just was confused because even when I had two different widgets, if I put them on the same page, they stacked instead of staying in their column/widget.

    Hey!

Yes, please contact the plugin author for more info. I noticed that you place the embedded code inside a single text block on the first column. Aren’t you suppose to embed the other on a separate text or code block inside the second column? Or you already did this but it keeps pushing the second embedded code inside the first column?

It was a problem with the widget code. I contacted the creator, who gave me a work around and said he’d fix the coding. Thank you!
