    Hi,

I am experimenting with the MultilinguaPress Plugin and it works pretty well.
Now I want to place the language switcher wether in the secondary header or to the right of the main menu – how can I do that?
I could not find related topics in the forum…

    Thanks and best regards
    Michael

    Hi Michael!

We recommend using WPML. We have made sure it’s compatible with our framework.

Have you contacted the plugin authors?

    Best regards,
    Elliott

    Hi Elliott,

the plugin authors recommended to put it into a secondary menu or create a custom widget area in the header (but they didn’t give deatils how to do that…).
My prefered plugin would be MultilingualPress because I would like to use the multisite functionality of wordpress. They offer a widget for the language switcher, so my prefered solution would be to add a widget area to the header. I found this
    http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/adding-a-widget-area-to-the-header/
and tried it on my website but once I added the code to the functions.php all I got was a white screen…
Would be great to get some advice how to apply a custom widget area in header – I think it would be the most elegant solution.

    Thanks and best regards

    Hi Michael!

If you got a white screen it means something is wrong with the code you put in functions.php, could you try it again or post what you pasted here please?

    Cheers!

    Hi Rikard,

I tried it with a child theme and now it’s working :-).
    Thanks.

    Best
    Michael
