Hi! I am having difficulties getting a side bar into any of my pages except for the individual blog posts page. I have things set to the advanced layout editor for the blog page in Enfold blog settings. When I go into the page attributes and set it to a side bar setting that I created in Appearances/widgets, it does not show up or it shows up underneath the Avia page designer template I create. I thought it would just move it over if I set a right side bar? Is this a weird glitch or do I need to know more about how to set sidebars when using the Avia advanced layout page builder? Your help is most appreciated:) I set up a temp login below for you to see where things are wonky.

BTW, if I don;t use the advanced editor for my blog page than I loose all settings to the navigation page I have set for the blog (MAW BLOG as I have named it) SO I am stumped as to how to work around this.

It seems the advanced layout editor would make things get designed easier but I expwrience it, in this case, to be limiting what I actually want the function and design of the page to be. Thanks

    Hi mawcreations!

You have the default sidebar behaviour for pages set to “no sidebar” in Dashboard > Enfold > Sidebar settings. So now every page you create will not have a sidebar unless you override that when you edit the page with the “Layout” setting.

Hi Elliot, it is doing that regardless if the Layout settings on each page are set to a right sidebar. I tried that and it was placing the bar below the desinged page that I did in the Avia. Do you have any other suggestions that would help?

    Hi!

Are you sure? I just created a new page named “Test” and set the Layout to right sidebar and it’s displaying fine.

    Cheers!

Yes, you are right, it worked for me too after I changed the sidebar settings. I think the confusing thing for me is that I want the default to be no side bar and adding right side bar to the settings was counter intuitive since I thought I could add them manually on the page attributes per page only. Thanks for your help:)
