Hello,
I’m trying to use Enfold as a multi-author blog.
I can create the users with author roles, but I can’t seem to upload their photos.
Do I need a specifit plugin for that?
Regards
Newton.

You are going to need to use https://en.gravatar.com to upload images for authors

YigitFebruary 6, 2015 at 1:59 pm #392031Yigit, how are you?
Look, I’m a newbie. I think I didn’t get, because:
“Gravatars in WordPress
As of WordPress 2.5, Gravatars are built-in and require no additional Plugins for basic usage and management…”So, shouldnt it be already built in?
How exactly do I use it with the Enfold theme?
PS: Forgive my poor English, I’m brazilian : )
February 6, 2015 at 2:06 pm #392034Hi!
Thanks Newton :)
You have a user registered in WordPress, let us say with e-mail address (Email address hidden if logged out) . You should go to https://en.gravatar.com and register with your e-mail address that you have used on your WordPress, example (Email address hidden if logged out) and upload your profile picture. That is all. WordPress will automatically use that picture you uploaded on Gravatar.Regards,

I couldn’t ask the site customers to do this… They will think is too much work.
I had a previous site with BuddyPress running, and the uploading was easy.
Does the Enfold theme work well with BuddyPress?
Thanks.
February 6, 2015 at 2:28 pm #392046Hey!
This is a standard procedure with WordPress avatars. Gravatar is an Automattic service, just like WordPress itself.
Enfold is not fully tested with BuddyPress, you may see some incompatibility issues.Regards,

Sorry to insist in this issue, but… The site is for visitors, customers, not me. Everything should be as easy as possible.
I’m in Brazil (with brazilian customers), and I tell you this: if the prospect comes to my site and has to go to another site (Gravatar) to upload a picture, he won’t do it, and his experience in my own site will suffer.
Is there any plugin of your knowledge that get this job done? I’m thinking about those “registrations with facebook account”, or “login with facebook” available in the Envato site (codecanyon).
Your thoughts?
Newton

You can try this plugin so that your users can register their facebook or google plust account as profile picture: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-social-avatar/
Best regards,
