For example, say I want to create a 1/2 layout, to the right side of a 1/2 layout to the left with a black colored background how do I do that? Or how do I create a row or box within a column, with just a black colored background or any colored background for that matter without any text, icon or any other module? Thanks.
January 24, 2015 at 2:41 am #384755Hi!
Try using a Grid Row element, here’s a demo of what you can build with that:

JosueJanuary 24, 2015 at 3:07 am #384769Thank you Josue! Exactly what I needed. Do not know how I missed the grid row element in the layout elements portion of the Avia Layout Builder. Another question? If I needed to get rid of the line that displays at the bottom left side of the grid within the cell (I uploaded a picture and circled around it in red so you can see what i am trying to convey) how would I go about removing that? Thats if it’s even possible. Link below

January 24, 2015 at 3:34 am #384780Hi!
That border is coming from the following section, a way to prevent that is to wrap those contents into a new Color Section and set the border-top styling to none – http://screencast.com/t/CmT9JIIvMVS3, i’ve done that right now.

JosueJanuary 24, 2015 at 5:13 am #384796Thanks Josue. Final question? How do I make the picture of the butterfly (In my example screenshot, don’t pay any attention to the lines I colored out on the left side) fill up in the entire 1/2 layout on the right side. For example if I wanted to insert an image where the 1/2 layout element with grid row element now in black and have the picture take up the entire space within the 1/2 column how would I do that?
All I see is options to align right, left or put the picture in the center position, like it is now, top right (above the grid row element in black.) Instead of where I have the black box (within the grid row element) I want the image there but I want it to take up the full space. I tried image with hotspot element but the picture is still centered. I want the image to take up the space within the entire 1/2 layout element right side.

Thanks for all your help Josue.

January 26, 2015 at 9:03 am #385286Hi!
Try to use a larger image or add this on Quick CSS:
.av-hotspot-container { width: 100%; }
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 26, 2015 at 4:21 pm #385539I put the CSS code you gave me in the quick css box in enfold child options general styling but it didn’t do anything to my Knowledge.
ok I got the picture to finally take up the whole 1/2 column layout but now it doesn’t fit perfectly. How do i make it fit perfectly in the box? Meaning, I do not see the full butterfly like the below pic (Don’t pay attention to the pink area on the right side.)

I also uploaded the image large but it didn’t take up the whole box within a regular 1/2 layout column. The one that takes up the whole box but doesn’t fit perfectly is the grid row element in 1/2 layout column.I want the picture to display like the below image, but fit in the box you see in the top screenshot perfectly. Which seems like, I may need to play with height and width but don’t know the correct values.

January 27, 2015 at 9:33 pm #386601Hi guys. Still waiting for an answer regarding how to fit my photo nicely within a 1/2 layout grid row element or 1/2 layout column. Example provided above.
January 28, 2015 at 4:19 am #386757Hi!
Check it now, i changed the “Background Repeat” setting to “Stretch to fit” and added some whitespace to the left cell so the full image is displayed on the right.
Regards,
JosueJanuary 28, 2015 at 9:50 am #386839Didn’t see the stretch to fit option. Thanks a lot Josue and Ismael for all your help and great assistance.
January 28, 2015 at 11:14 am #386889Ok Josue, I am still getting that border showing up in the lower left section, where you see it circled in black (Or in my second post in red if you look at above pic from that post.) I tried to create a color screen but you can’t make 2 1/2 column layouts and insert color screen inside the elements. Is there any Quick CSS I can insert, into the page to get rid of this border? Or can you log into my site and recreate everything thats already there without the border? Thanks again.

January 28, 2015 at 7:31 pm #387327January 28, 2015 at 8:49 pm #387352Ok so just to be clear. It looks like you created a Color Section and put all elements below the very first grid row, with the 2 1/2 column layout’s with text block on left side and butterfly picture on right side, correct? I noticed you didn’t put the grid row element with the butterfly picture within a color section. That’s why I am asking. Anyways, thanks Josue you’ve been a tremendous help to me (I now have a very happy client.) Thank you!
January 28, 2015 at 9:09 pm #387374That’s because a Grid Row can not be put inside a Color Section as it is a fullwidth element.

JosueJanuary 28, 2015 at 10:45 pm #387439I have another question Josue and I am really sorry for tying up your time. I just rather keep all my questions here, then clog up the forum with 10 different questions, taking away from other buyers who may need immediate help, as much as I. How do I get rid of this text to the left of the footer, I have it circled in black in the pic below also the footer 1 column is blank and display everywhere widget is blank also, no text block widgets. I am using footer columns 2,3,4 as of right now nothing in footer column 1. This should be my final question for awhile and my apologies and thank you for being patient and working with me. I love this theme and the avia layout builder is the best out! Pic below

January 28, 2015 at 11:24 pm #387459Hi!
Those are placeholder widgets, to remove them just put an empty Text widget.
