I am trying to display the my newest blog post on my side bar (it’s on a page).
The only way I could think of is getting a short code on the Widget section but I had no luck. Is there any other way to display my most recent blog post on the side bar with the title and content of the post?

You can enable debugging mode to see shortcodes you have created in pages using Advanced Layout Builder – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
You can switch to Default Editor and click on Magic Wand to see full list of shortcodes http://i.imgur.com/n4KXkdm.jpg
then you can create any of them and copy/paste shortcode into any other content element or into text widget.Regards,
