I’ve an enfold install displaying odd behaviour when accessed on mobile devices via a domain forwarded to the host domain. Accessed directly (the .net address) from a mobile device it works as expected. Accessed via the forwarded domain (the .com address) it doesn’t and serves the desktop version of the site.

Any ideas on how to fix or a workaround?

    Thanks

    Hi tristan_collins!

I tested on a Nexus 7 and it’s loading the landing page (click to enter page with africa image). What device and browser are you using? Try clearing your browser cache and view again.

    Hi!

Please go to Enfold theme options > General Layout > Dimensions and make sure to check “Responsive Site”

    Cheers!

Yes, that is enabled and functioning as per the 2nd image in the previous post.

However, coming to the site via the .com address doesn’t show the responsive layout (1st pic)…

    Hey!

Can you please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps?

No joy on that front. Only had: contact form, google site map, post duplicator and an auto backup one activated.

    Strange…

If you access the .com site using lynx there may be a clue.

    Hey!

I just checked again but it appears to be loading fine now on my nexus 7. Did you get this sorted?

Also, your .net domain does not appear to be working anymore.

    Hey!

Oh. My bad. I didn’t know you have to click the map. I thought it is on maintenance mode. The .com site is inside a frame and it is breaking the responsiveness of the site. Why did you add it inside an frame?

    Ismael

    Thanks Ismael,

Now we’re getting somewhere. Looks like the forwarding provided by the domain host is the culprit. I have no idea why they are putting the forwarded site inside a frame… One for their support.

Many thanks for your help. Great service.

    Tristan
