Hi there,
Firstly, thanks so much for making such a great, well-designed, well-thought-through theme.
I’m hoping to do some minor customisation to the page title area (title, breadcrumb etc.) based on a design that’s been done by a designer.
I’d like to achieve this in the best possible way to keep the integrity of your theme in-tact (I don’t want a hatchet-job from a random developer mucking up your masterpiece so thought I’d start with the gurus!).
We’d like the page title area (under the logo/menu bar) to go as follows:
– Breadcrumb on it’s own line directly under logo/menu bar (no page title)
– Next line container with Title on left (1/3) and Page Excerpt on right (2/3)This would only be for internal landing pages (not the home page obviously).
Any support you can give in separating out these containers would be great. I have a child theme activated so this should help to keep things clean.
Thanks again for your help.
Cheers

I took a look at your screenshot. To make sure I understand correctly.. your wanting the blue area to be the title and the breadcrumbs on the next line and then the green area to be the page excerpt?
If that’s not correct then send us a link to the exact page and take a screenshot highlighting exactly what your trying to do so we can get a better idea.
Cheers!

Thanks so much for your reply. I think you might have been looking at the first page rather than the second on the PDF.
I’m looking for the breadcrumbs in it’s own line/container (different colour) directly below the logo/menu bar.
Then on the next line will be the blue row broken into the Title on the left (approx 1/3 width) and the Page excerpt on the right (approx 2/3 width).
Here is another screenshot that marks it up more clearly.

Thanks so much

You would have to create that layout manually. What you could do is hide the title and just display the breadcrumbs in the layout settings when editing your page and then drag a color section to your page content with a 1/3 + 2/3 inside it and then place our special heading element inside the columns.
