Hello! I just migrated from a theme where I could embed (with a shortcode) progress bars into a tab within a set of tabs. The layout builder seems to prevent this option, is there a workaround? Thanks!

    Hi!

You can enable debugging mode to see shortcodes you have created in pages using Advanced Layout Builder – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
You can switch to Default Editor and click on Magic Wand to see full list of shortcodes http://i.imgur.com/n4KXkdm.jpg
then you can create any of them and copy/paste shortcode into any other content element or into text widget.

P.S.: Our queue goes from oldest to the newest queries, bumping pushes your query to the end of the queue.

    Cheers!

Ok, so after playing with this mode, I’ve realized there are some nasty side effects. I was able to get the progress bars to work within the tabs, but then I noticed that everything below the menu (the page as a whole) had a padding around 100 pixels on every side. It created basically a big white frame for the whole page. I thought – that’s weird – and went back into the Layout builder and fixed what was going on. End result? All my shortcode changes had disappeared! So naturally I go back to manually inputing shortcodes – end result: nasty padding back. So my advice on the debug mode to others: don’t use it. Unless Enfold adds support for using shortcodes (where it won’t break their drag and drop interface) I would stay away from the debug.

Other themes have fluid abilities where you can switch between drag and drop interfaces and using shortcodes without a care, Enfold clearly isn’t ready for that yet. Maybe a suggestion for the future? Make Enfold intuitive for the beginner, but with robustness for those who know how to use shortcodes but can’t do heavy lifting in the actual coding realm. Most themes struggle with this – finding a good middle ground is a big deal. :)

No progress bars in tabs for the time being in Enfold. :/

    Hey!

but then I noticed that everything below the menu (the page as a whole) had a padding around 100 pixels on every side.

Perhaps that can be fixed with some CSS code, if you still want this please create a test page with this result and post it here so we can help you with that.

    Best regards,
    Josue
