After the updates I get a white screen of “death.” This is what I’ve tried so far to no avail:
1) Deactivated all plugins
2) Increased php memory to 256
3) Reinstalled WP
4) Reinstalled EnfoldWP 4..0.1
Enfold 3.04I’ve also switched to previous free themes and the default WP themes and those themes DO work, so it seems to me that there is still a bug in the Enfold theme? Are there any known incompatibility issues with certain plugins or anything?

December 9, 2014 at 5:16 am #365161Hey DrNoge!
Thank you for using Enfold.
There are thousands of Enfold users out there who’s not experiencing this issue so it’s either a plugin or the theme that you have is either incomplete or corrupted. Please download it again from themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. If it doesn’t work, rename the plugins folder on wp-content folder. This should disable all plugins. If it still doesn’t work, please contact your hosting provider to restore the site to a point where it is still working. We would like to check it.

IsmaelDecember 10, 2014 at 3:37 am #365811So, I’ve re installed WP again, this time from scratch. Re-installed the theme directly by FTP with the latest download, and then it gave me white screen when I activated the theme. This is with all default setting and no additional plugins.
So, I restored to WP pre 4.0.1 and pre enfold 3.0.4 as you mentioned in you last sentence so you can check it.
Please advise next steps.
Thank you.

December 11, 2014 at 5:59 am #366493Hey!
@DrNoge: Is this ok now? I checked the site again and it’s not blank anymore: http://www.nogiec.com/@msteward22: If possible, please open your own thread.
Best regards,
IsmaelDecember 13, 2014 at 8:39 pm #367762No, it’s not fixed. Per your directions, I restored the previous version, so it’s the old wp: 3.x and the old Enfold theme. You wrote this in your previous message:
If it still doesn’t work, please contact your hosting provider to restore the site to a point where it is still working. We would like to check it.
So, I restored it and gave you the info to check it. and wrote this in my previous message:

December 15, 2014 at 3:22 am #368113December 18, 2014 at 4:26 pm #370020I don’t think you understand what I’ve been writing or I misunderstood what you wanted me to do.
I thought you wanted me to restore the previous versions so you can find out why when I upgrade to the most recent WP and Enfold and when I disable all plugins the website doesn’t work.
Of course I know the website works now because I restored the previous version. However, what I keep saying is that when I upgrade to the most recent release of WP and Enfold (and even after disabling all plugins) the website does not work. This is after multiple clean installs. Thus, I gave you the FTP log information because that is what I thought you requested in your previous message.
Now, we’ve gone back and forth saying the same thing. I realize this theme is working for others, but one of the reasons I purchased this theme is for support and quality. It’s not working for me when I upgrade. Do you understand my problem now?
December 18, 2014 at 11:51 pm #370309Hey!
Alright. I didn’t notice that you’re not using the latest version of the theme. Looks like you’re using an ancient version, 2.6.2. Please update the theme regularly as to avoid this kind of problem in the future. Upgrade to WordPress 4.0.1 then download the latest version 3.0.4 from your themeforest account then update the theme via FTP. Please refer to this link for more info: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

IsmaelDecember 19, 2014 at 8:47 pm #370752Ummm…did you read any of my previous messages?. That’s why I started this thread and I’m about to yell with typing as to bring attention to it:
I GET THE WHITE SCREEN OF DEATH WHEN I UPDATED TO THE MOST RECENT VERSIONS AND THAT IS AFTER I DISABLED ALL THE PLUGINS AFTER I INSTALLED EVERYTHING FROM SCRATCH. PLEASE READ ABOVE. WE ARE STILL WRITING IN CIRCLES.
December 20, 2014 at 1:02 am #370846Hi!
I logged in but your currently using WordPress 3.8.5. Go ahead and update WordPress to the latest version and then let us know when your done so we can take a look.
Also, turn on WordPress debugging, http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress, and check your server error logs for any information we could use.
Cheers!

December 23, 2014 at 4:09 am #371981Hi DrNoge!
The issue was caused by some Enfold files you had in the root of the WordPress installation, i’ve removed them and now your site is running the latest version of WordPress and Enfold without issue. Sorry for taking this long to resolve the problem.

JosueDecember 23, 2014 at 11:15 pm #372310Thank you, thank you, thank you, Josue! I really appreciate your efforts and helping me solve this problem!
