Is it possible to speed up the display of the mega menu in Enfold?
It feels like these is an “ease” on it, but I don’t know how to change it.
Ideally I want the submenus to open up straight away on rollover:
Give it a try: http://waltoncreative.com is this slow?
0.1 seconds for me
you are slowing yourself done dramatically by loading huge jpgs
compress them
several other things to do as well

Hi!
Thank you for using Enfold.
You can edit js > avia.js, find this code on line 1056:
item.stop().css('display','block').animate({opacity:1},300);
Decrease the value 300.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hiya, that’s great thank you.
Having done a search it appears in two documents:
shortcodes.js
and
avia.js
Do you know which is the one I should change?
Kind regards
Colin
Hey!
You should edit the avia.js file. Try to increase the value to 10000, so you know it is working. Remove browser cache then reload the page a few times. :)

Ismael
Hello Ismael. Where do I find the avia.js? I can’t find it on the server or in the editor..
thanks
Hey!
You need to edit the file via FTP or your cpanel. Look for it inside wp-content > themes > enfold > js folder. :)
Cheers!
Ismael
Hello Ismael,
Thank you I found it. But decreasing the 300 just shortens the fade animation. I would like to match it to the normal dropdown menu’s. So start faster but with the same fade time :)
any ideas?
cheers
Hi!
I’m sorry but I tried to edit the mega menu transition without breaking it but it’s not working. You see, the megamenu structure is a bit more complicated than the submenu so there’s a very slight variation on their transition. I’ll ask the rest of the support team if they have any idea on how to change it. Anyway, I don’t think users will even notice the difference.
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Ismael,
thanks anyways for trying!
If there ever comes a solution I will be happy to hear it.
Kind regards
