Hi guys,
I just noticed that the author picture is no longer showing on the main blog page nor on the single posts, despite the fact that the settings remained the same (Multi Author Blog – Display gravatar of the article author beside the entry and featured images above).
What’s the fix?
See: http://paradisefoundflorida.com/melbourne/
Thanks.

Thank you for using Enfold.
Did you register the email of the author on gravatar.com?

IsmaelDecember 9, 2014 at 9:59 pm #365646Hey Ismael,
Yes I did and it used to show the author image seamlessly until the latest update. I notice that this is happening only on this site of mine and the plugins are the same ones I have on other sites that are working fine.
Could it maybe be something that would need the regenerate thumbnails plugin to solve the issue?

Make sure that you set the blog to Multi Author Blog. Other blog style will not show the author image and it will only work for standard post format.
Cheers!
IsmaelJanuary 8, 2015 at 1:44 am #376592I did, but it’s not unfortunately working.
Having the same issue on two other sites that like this one are using a plugin called Social Media 2 WordPress for Google+I tried deactivating the plugin, deleting it, but it doesn’t restore the functionality. Hopefully there is a way to revert or retrieve/fix the issue.
Thank you so much!

The problem is indeed caused by the third party plugin (Social Media 2 WordPress for Google) and by the fact that the author of the 41 Posts doesn’t have any Gravatar assigned to it – http://i.imgur.com/LtDyEQ1.png.
Cheers!
JosueJanuary 12, 2015 at 10:50 am #378208Hey Josue!
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, there is definitely something wrong since I installed the plugin.
The author of the 41 Posts you sent me the screenshot DOES have indeed the Gravatar image, but that image is not being pulled up anymore since I installed the plugin. I checked my Gravatar account to find confirmation of what I say. I tried changing image yet nothing, doesn’t work.
And what’s worse is the fact that if I deactivate the plugin, the situation is not restored for the remaining original posts that belong to the blog and are not pulled in from G+. The Author image now doesn’t show anymore anywhere in the blog.
How could I fix that?January 19, 2015 at 5:50 pm #381948Hmm, could you please check here if the associated email returns the right image?
Best regards,

Yes, it pulls the right image when you enter the right email, the problem is that your WordPress user has the wrong email, there is a typo in the domain – http://screencast.com/t/Bj5Evyr5a3

JosueJanuary 19, 2015 at 11:59 pm #382184Thanks Josue!
It worked….and it’s so weird, because it used to be correct and display the avatar until before I installed that plugin. Same behavior happened in 3 other sites after installing that plugin. In this specific case it seems like something happened with the email address related to the Gravatar, in the other two cases it magically reappeared without me doing anything.
