I have created a new page and called it ‘Posts’. I have then gone to Settings/Reading and gone to Front Page Displays and set the following

    Front Page – Home
    Posts Page – Posts

I was under the impression that if I created a post that it would automatically appear in the ‘Posts’ page but it doesn’t. At some stage I must have created a category which is my default category and therefore the post I created appears under the default category.

I just want to be able to create posts that will automatically appear in my ‘Blog’

Also I am not sure how the ‘Blog’ option in Theme Options ties into all this?

    Thanks

    Hi keifygeorge!

Please do not choose your blog page in Settings > Reading, set it in Enfold theme options. Then go to Blog Layout tab and adjust the settings as needed.
You can choose “Use the advance layout editor to build your own blog layout (simply edit the page you have chosen in Enfold->Theme Options as a blog page)” in Blog Style and create your blog page as any other page using ALB

OK So therefore I cannot use the ‘Add New Post’ which apparently sets the date and organises the posts etc.?

    Hi!

You definitely can use it. You can change Blog Style in Enfold theme options > Blog Layout or set it to use Advanced Layout Builder as i suggested in my previous post to create your blog page as any other page. You can then add one of the elements to display your posts ( blog posts, masonry etc. ) – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-advanced-layout-editor/

    Best regards,
