Just run my update on my bumy site to ensure all worked fine which it seemed to. Only problem was the pencil symbol appered above my blogs but by adding the following code recent provided it solvced this problem
“Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
article span.fallback-post-type-icon {
display: none;
}
Regards,
Yigit”Anyhow today I thought I would update Enfold on my live site http://www.staffordrc.org but this time the footers have change, and location of widgets for login on home page is missing and the bbpress forum layout has changed and I have lost recent post, replies, search and these have been replaced by 3 login widgets?
can someone please advise me on how to correct this problem form. I made a back up of the wp-admin files prior ot the update.
Also how can I removce the white boxes above the blogs as the above code has left them in the .org site even thouigh it worked in ithe .co.uk site?
and what would be the reason for these problems occuring on my http://www.staffordrc.org site and not on my dummy http://www.staffordrc.co.uk site
thanks for anyhelp you can offer
December 3, 2014 at 9:54 pm #362506Hey StaffordRC!
Sorry about the problems your having.
Did you recently create a child theme, rename the parent theme folder, or upgrade from a very old version of Enfold? If so then that could explain why you have to reconfigure the widgets.
When you say white boxes are you referring to the blog posts shortcode on your homepage under “Latest News”? If so then add this to your custom CSS.
.avia-content-grid-active .slide-image { display: none !important; }
Best regards,
ElliottDecember 4, 2014 at 10:49 am #362767Thanks for your reply Elliot
the code you provided has removed the white boxes which were showing above the blog post thanks.
With regards the format problems I have not created a child theme and I was updating from Enfold version 3 so I have only missed on update. But the problem I think is that when I select Enfold from my dashboard is show the following message
When I look at my .co.uk version of the website this missing style sheet error message is not there and the website widgets/format loaded in correctly following the up date. So I assume this must be the cause of my problem. But not been experienced in programming I would not know how to resolve this problem. So would we very grateful if you could give me any advice on how to resolve this problem and preventing it happening again
thanks Alastair : )
December 4, 2014 at 7:01 pm #363126Hey!
Go ahead and do a theme settings export in Dashboard > Enfold > Import/Export and then completely delete all of the folders you see in the WordPress theme directory (except for the default theme) and then download + upload a fresh copy of Enfold from themeforest.
Your settings should still be there but if they are not then you can import them in Dashboard > Enfold > Import/Export.
Cheers!
