I love to use the grid rows, but i still want them to inherit the mac container (page) width from the global settings.
If that’s not standard or wanted, do you have an idea for a “hack”?!
Thanks!
December 3, 2014 at 12:12 am #361866Hey hansmeiser!
In this case you would use the regular layout elements, 1/2 + 1/2, etc etc. They will display inside the main container and not split it like the grid_row.
Cheers!
ElliottDecember 3, 2014 at 12:14 am #361867Hi Elliot,
yes, I did that before. Unfortunately those don’t allow for the exact area styling that the grid rows do. (BG colors, images, vertical alignment, etc).
I will see what I can do then…
December 3, 2014 at 6:18 pm #362319Hi!
If you need to change the background then use a color section and add the columns inside it.
Best regards,
ElliottJanuary 27, 2015 at 1:26 pm #386179I also would like to use the grid layout within a container. I can’t use the color section because each column needs its own background. The way that I have to do this today is by using the custom code feature which isn’t as easy to update for others. Do you have any ideas on how I would be able to accomplish this?
Thanks for your help.
January 27, 2015 at 2:18 pm #386191Hey!
You can edit cells in Grid Row element and choose to display a custom background color for that cell – http://imgur.com/a/xRjrR
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 27, 2015 at 2:27 pm #386200Thanks for the quick reply. I am wondering how to make the grid row feature appear within the .container class. This would make it 1100px wide and not the 100% width that appears to be the only option.
January 27, 2015 at 2:29 pm #386205Thanks Digit, we know. but that’s exactly the thing:
we don’t want to use grid rows for that, but rather in the standard regular layout elements, 1/2 + 1/2, etc etc.January 27, 2015 at 2:34 pm #386215Hey!
Some time ago @josue posted a workaround here – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/how-to-trigger-specific-elements/#post-268697
Please try itRegards,
YigitJanuary 27, 2015 at 4:38 pm #386347That worked well for part of what I am trying to do. Is it possible to
also add a field for background images on all Advanced Layout Builder features (like what I
added to the functions.php to enable the css area?). This way I don’t have to edit the CSS each time I want to add the background image, I can simply do this within the Advanced Layout Builder.January 27, 2015 at 4:45 pm #386350Hey!
Currently it is not possible, it is possible to enable custom CSS field as you mentioned – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/
Best regards,
