First of all thanks to Kriesi and team for fast reaction on the WP update
However, I probably made (once again) a stupid mistake and see no changes, still missing easy slider, contact form and google maps.
My steps:
downloaded Enfold 3.0.4 from Themeforrest
uploaded theme via FTP to server ((checked the “if source is newer” option)still don’t see the missing items. examples:
http://dumaguete.com/ should have 3 easy slider under “where to stay” as well as under “what to see”
http://dumaguete.com/kens-trading-car-dealer-car-rental/ should have contact form and google maps on bottom of page above footer.
Please advice, what I missed.November 21, 2014 at 2:25 am #354817Hi Rhoody!
My best guess is that not all theme files were updated properly, despite you checking the “if source is newer” option. do you have an option in your ftp program that allows you to force overwrite files, no matter the date?
Best regards,
KriesiNovember 21, 2014 at 5:34 am #354889Hi Kriesi,
I uploaded all 200+ files again via FTP overriding all existing files (no failed transfers). No changes, still missing maps, easy slider and contact forms
For “good measure” I deactivated the plugins, no changes, still no maps, contact form and easy slider.(activated plugins again now)
so 3.0.4 doesn’t work for me for whatever reason. pls advice
cheers

November 21, 2014 at 7:50 am #354933After updating, my sliders did not work either; but, after clearing out the cache, it worked….
November 21, 2014 at 9:51 am #354961Thanks for your suggestions Kenwae, but that make here no difference. Tried it also on computer which certainly never been to that side. same issue, missing functions…
November 21, 2014 at 7:44 pm #355480Hey!
It looks like you have some customizations going on there. Have you tried completely deleting your existing copy before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest? I think that should take care of it.
Also be sure to deactivate all plugins while testing and if your using a caching plugin then clear it’s cache.

November 22, 2014 at 6:20 am #355790Now that sounds really scary… I did no customization whatsoever other than custom css. all sugested by the kriesi team. (I would not be capable to do so by myself.. )
If there is anything customized it was done by the kriesi team because of some issues. a few month back. You guys have an admin account…
November 23, 2014 at 4:46 pm #356253Hey!
I checked the site and the easy sliders, google maps are working fine. Please remove browser cache then reload the page. If possible, please increase the wordpress memory limit to at least 128M. Refer to this link: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/

first a big Thank you, the site is working again thanks to your advice. However, I did not delete the old version, I just renamed it. so I have an option if anything goes horribly wrong during the upload. One interesting point, I tried it twice before renaming it to replace the existing version (with overwrite files checked) each time my FTP uploaded 200+ files, no upload errors.
After renaming I uploaded the theme and there were 800+ files to upload. Not sure what is the reason for that, but it might be an interesting aspect for others. Again, Thanks for your advice.
Cheers
