Adding Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab

Just a quick, easy question here. I use a third party css plugin, which works great, because when a new theme update comes out, I have always figured I could completely wipe out the old theme with the new via ftp. If I use the Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab, wouldn’t these settings get wiped out every update? Any disadvantage to using a third party css plugin?

If the Enfold theme update doesn’t wipe out all the custom CSS, then I’ll probably ditch the extra plugin.
