    Hi Guys,

    I really like your photography layout: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold-photography/

    Can you tell me how to update my Enfold theme without loosing data to this photography layout. There are no options in the Enfold theme to do this as far as I can see, you can only import dummy data, but I thought this might wipe my current site?.

    Hi Gstar72!

    Importing one of the theme demos in Dashboard -> Enfold -> Demo Import will import the demo pages, posts, images as well as theme settings into your site. Basically once you import your site will look like the demo so you would need to reset your menu and other theme settings after the import.

    Your existing content (pages, images, posts, etc etc) will be safe but it would be best to create a backup before the import just in case you do not like all of the extra content added.

    Thanks Elliot,

    I am wondering if it would be easier to download Enfold again and rename the theme, then upload demo content for the photography theme, then if it isn’t working as I like, switch back to what I have with the current theme?.

    Hi!

    It would still load dummy data on your current database. So for a cleaner solution, i would recommend creating a testing environment on a new database and install Enfold photography demo there.

    Thanks guys. For future dev, it would be awesome if there was some way to integrate theme transitions with less complexity…it seems that the photography theme is just a left margin set up with a few minor differences.
