Dear support,
I adding alt text on the images on a page I’m creating with the avia builder media elements. Unfortunately the alt text will be used for the image on all pages and not only on that page. Is there a workaround to get this done?

Try specifying alt text in WordPress media manager itself.

ArvishNovember 1, 2014 at 12:07 am #344364If I use plain HTML I can specify an alt text for all places where the image is used. That is what I want to achieve, because I’m using the same icons in different places.

Unfortunately the customisation you’re requesting will take a while to implement and therefore falls outside the scope of our theme support.
You can try http://studio.envato.com or http://www.peopleperhour.com for customization support. You can also vote for or post a feature request on our feature request page https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/.
If you have any further questions about the theme, we are more than happy to provide you with assistance on these inquiries. Thank you for your understanding.
Cheers!
ArvishNovember 1, 2014 at 1:40 am #344414Oké so I have to use the classic editor? The avia builder was one of the strenghts of Enfold for me to choose for this theme..

There might have been a confusion.
When insert an image with Avia Layout Builder, you can specify the alt text while uploading using media manager
This value is saved in the media library and is reusable every time you add this image.
Cheers!
ArvishNovember 3, 2014 at 7:59 pm #345483I know that this is one of the possibilities. What I’m trying to say is that I use the same picture on different pages and I want the alt-text to be different on all pages.

You can always set a different alt-text in each instance of the Avia Image element.
Cheers!
JosueNovember 4, 2014 at 10:29 am #345790When can I do that? Can’t find that option unfortunately.
November 4, 2014 at 7:08 pm #346025Hey!
Sorry i was mistaken, when you insert the image via
Avia Image
element orAdd Media
button, it will always use the saved Alt, in this case you’d need to rely on HTML image insertion (you can use Text Blocks for this):<img src="_IMG_URL_" alt="_ALT_" />
Please note that this is not an Enfold limitation, it’s just how WordPress handles attachments metadata.
