    Is there a way of adding a block colour behind certain columns in Enfold using layer builder?

    By certain columns, I mean like text, images and the contact form.

    Try dragging over a text block and then in the editor add this around your text.

    Is what what you were trying to do? If not then go ahead and send us a link and take a screenshot highlighting what your trying to do so we can get a better idea.

    Good question!
    For certain columns and their contents (text block, special header, etc.), not all.
    I use Enfold.
