Hello,
I’ve updated to 3.0.2 and running WP 4.0
When I try to update my layerslider, I save it but no changes take effect. Instead of an update to the current slider, when I make my changes and hit ‘update’ – a new blank slider is created. I’m not sure what’s going on.Thank you for your help.
October 30, 2014 at 11:20 pm #343782Hello,
I’m still not having any luck. Does this have something to do with the version of LS I’m using? I remember at one point you guys told me to manually copy a LS folder to my plugins. I notice that the theme update does not use the lastest version of LS.
I’m not sure what is going on, but again, changes I make to any of my sliders do not save. The button turns green and it appears that it saved but no changes to the slider take place. Instead, a new blank slider is created. Please help. Thanks.

November 1, 2014 at 12:06 am #344363Hi!
Please try the following to see if it helps.
1. Disable all third-party plugins to see if the issue gets fixed. 90% of the time, issues are caused by conflicting code from third party plugins. Disabling these plugins one by one and checking if this helps sort the issue helps pin-point the exact source of the issue.
2. Has this started occurring after a theme, plugin or wordpress update? Restoring a backup version of your site might help in such a case.
If disabling any third party plugins does not help, please forward us administrative credentials to your site for us to have a closer look.

Did you install the layer slider as a stand alone plugin? You need to disable the default layer slider that is included within the theme. Please deactivate the layer slider plugin first then add this on functions.php:
add_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');
Reactivate the layer slider. Let us know if it works.

IsmaelNovember 3, 2014 at 12:44 pm #345220Hello again,
This did not work for me.
As per your instructions on a previous issue I had with LS, I believe I did install LS as a standalone plugin. I think I was told to copy a layerslider folder into my plugins folder. And everything was fine when I did that.
But now I am not able to make changes to any sliders at all.
I followed your instructions a few times and the results are still the same. What can be done?
November 3, 2014 at 12:46 pm #345221I haven’t been able to make changes to any part of LS since I upgraded to the latest versions of enfold and WP.
November 3, 2014 at 11:27 pm #345604Hello, any update on this? Thank you for all your help but this issue is keeping me from using my website.
November 3, 2014 at 11:48 pm #345621Hi,
I found a solution. I had to disable the stand-alone plugin while I made updates to the sliders. This works just fine. The reason I have to re-activate the plugin is because it won’t display on some instances. Perhaps you could explain what is going on. I suspect it has something to do with the 2 versions of LS. I need them both to display my site properly but I cannot make changes if they are both activated. Anyways thank you for your help. This solution will work for me unless you know what is going on and can instruct me on a permanent fix. Thanks.
