Hi,
The site that I was working on about 6 months ago has a bunch of galleries, and now my client wants them to be updated. However I can’t figure out how to edit a gallery once it is created. When I click on the Default Editor (from Advanced Layout Editor) the content box comes up blank. When I click back to the Advanced Layout Editor, all of the content reappears.
Tried in Firefox, Safari and Chrome on Mac OS X 10.9
Thanks

The Advanced Layout Editor and the Default Editor are separate so you cannot switch between them and edit stuff freely. You should be able to edit the gallery from the ALE though. Let us know which page is it on and we’ll take a look.
You can also try this out, http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/, to see the shortcodes of the ALE as you drag them around.

ElliottNovember 4, 2014 at 3:11 am #345686it took a while for the lightbulb to come on, but finally realized that the way to edit a gallery is to add and delete the images #’s listed and that there is not a WYSIWYG interface to edit them:
[av_gallery ids='11961,11963,11964,11965,11966,11967,11962' style='thumbnails' preview_size='portfolio' thumb_size='portfolio' columns='4' imagelink='lightbox' lazyload='deactivate_avia_lazyload']
thanks for the debug info. i’ll give it a try.
November 5, 2014 at 3:08 pm #346532Hey!
Glad you figured it out. You can add or remove image ids on the gallery shortcode. Unfortunately, you can’t go back to the gallery panel when you added the gallery using the shortcode wand. Please use the advance layout builder next time. If the shortcodes are added on post, I’m afraid you’ll have to edit the shortcodes manually.
Cheers!

November 7, 2014 at 9:52 am #347600Hi!
I’m talking about the default editor. You can’t go back to the options panel when you add the shortcode via shortcode wand.

IsmaelNovember 11, 2014 at 7:03 pm #349609i figured out that the reason i couldn’t edit the gallery using the ALB in wysiwyg mode is because it was embedded into a tab. i had previously built the galleries outside of the tab in the ALB, then was able to switch to the Default Editor to grab the shortcode, but now when I click on Default Editor as previously mentioned, the code does not load like it used to.
I can however sometimes get the page to switch from the ALB to the default editor by closing the page, re-opening it, and then before doing anything, clicking on Default Editor.
Alternatively, I can turn on the option to see revisions and will click on the last revision to grab the shortcode in order to paste is into the Tab.

Yes, that was changed, you’d need to enable Debug Mode if you want to see the
shortcodes
code.Best regards,
