Hi, every time I start working with this theme, I get a 118 error across the entire domain it’s on. :( That domain hosts multiple WP instances across multiple folders, but none of them have incurred such a problem. Also, when I just use this WP instance without the theme, everything seems fine. I only start incurring the 118 error when I start working with this theme, and it seems to happen right after I update content (the only content I tried adding was a slider within the test ‘home’ page I created).
Any ideas on how can I fix this permanently? If I can’t, then I’ll have to ask for a refund from ThemeForest. :(

Can you paste the errors you are getting in Pastebin? i’m not seeing any errors in the link you posted.
Best regards,
JosueOctober 23, 2014 at 10:58 pm #340368Uh, it’s just a 118 error (error_connection_timed_out error). It really is happening, but if I do it again, I’ll lose my connectivity with the website again and I have a meeting this afternoon. I hope that you will please trust me that it is happening, because I won’t be able to send you screenshots until after business hours. I don’t want people to see that my entire domain is down, because it’s the same domain that my main business is on.
If you could please just trust me and figure out a solution in the meantime, I’d very much appreciate it. More info: when this 118 error happens (after I create or update a page/post), I can no longer connect with the website via any browser, but others can see it. This makes it impossible to manage this theme.
Thanks for your help.

October 24, 2014 at 1:09 am #340385Hi,
Does it happen with the default WordPress theme activated?
Cheers!
JosueOctober 24, 2014 at 1:31 am #340389Hi Josue,
No, it does not. I’ve tried other themes on that instance, and everything works fine. The problem only happens when I start using the Enfold theme. It starts out ok, but when I start creating or editing content, I get the 118 error, and it happens to the entire domain. I’m not much of a programmer or sys admin, but because it doesn’t affect other people’s views of the website (only my own), I’m thinking that something in the code changes something in my connection or how my browser calls for my connection.
On that note, when I clear the cache, that doesn’t seem to help, but the website comes back up later, in about 1/2 an hour. That’s obviously not going to work for building or maintaining a website, so I’ll need a permanent solution. Please help, because my client really wants to use this theme, but I’ll have to ask him to find another theme if we cannot actually create or maintain content.
Thank you.

October 24, 2014 at 3:37 am #340415Ok, well, I just tried deactivating and then reactivating the Enfold theme, but again, I now have the 118 error. :( – I don’t know how to send you a screenshot, because a pastebin won’t do anything for you, especially since you should be able to view the site on your end. The problem happens between myself and the website after I start using the theme, and again, it’s only with this theme. I’ve quadruple-checked this.
I don’t know if this would help, but when I’m on the admin side, it ended up at ***domain/***wp_instance/wp-admin/admin.php?page=avia
Maybe the “avia” value is not correct?
Please help!

I logged to your WP instance but was unable to reproduce the error on my end. Have you checked if it happens on another computer / browser / network?
Best regards,
JosueOctober 24, 2014 at 5:37 pm #340718Josue, it feels like you’re ignoring my messages or stalling. Can you please read completely through my last 3-4 messages again? I don’t think it is fair to ask me to say things over and over again. I just want a solution at this point. If you have no solution to this problem, then I will have to ask for a refund and request that my client use another theme.
Please read through all of my messages, completely, and get back to me with a solution as soon as you can. Thank you for your consideration.

October 25, 2014 at 3:06 am #340861Hi!
I’m sorry but 118 error is not a theme related issue at all. Like Josue, I can’t reproduce the issue that you have. I was able to logged on to the website. I even created a test page:
Please try to renew your ip address. See if that helps.
1.Get to a command prompt in your startup menu and type: cmd
now you are in command mode
2.type: “ipconfig/release” (without the quotes ,on the command line by itself)
3.type: “ipconfig/renew” (without the quotes ,on the command line by itself)Cheers!

November 7, 2014 at 8:47 pm #347921Firstly, can you please remove the link to my website in this thread? I wanted such info private, in accordance with the private data submission of my first post. :(
Second, ok, it looks like I’ve found a solution, because renewing my IP address actually didn’t do anything: I simply tried reinstalling this theme at two other hosts. It worked reliably on only one of them (justhost).
G’luck with troubleshooting this; I couldn’t afford the time to continue doing so.
