Missing dropdown in Header / Extra elements

last 2 days I cleaned up my WP, removing plugins that affected the speed and functionality of the site. So I have a quite clean site now.
But now, for unknown reasons the dropdown to activate the social media button in the header, is missing. As a result no social media buttons are showing.

I have the social buttons filled out at the apprioriate menu [social profiles] so the info is there.
I uploaded an image of my backend, to show what I mean.
