I have run a few tests and have discovered that the background video created in a color section only loops if it is at 100%, anything less and it does not loop. Is this a bug or a feature?
I also discovered that if you put text on top of a video in a color section, even at 100%, it no longer loops. It seems that the loop feature is unstable.
This is with Firefox. Using Safari or Chrome it does loop.
I am using the new version 3.0 of Unfold.

AndyOctober 7, 2014 at 2:40 am #331286Hi Andy, Vimeo background video looping seems to work intermittently. I have posted a sample 30″ video in 75% that now seems to be looping, but not always (Firefox). Also, I am experiencing a strange green aberration that only occurs at the loop point, which I’m not sure is coming from WordPress or Vimeo.

You might want to turn your volume down for this!
Thanks, Randall

October 7, 2014 at 11:44 am #331504Hi!
I can’t see any green aberration at the loop point. Did you fix it? Please also check it on other computers.
The firefox issue is actually a Vimeo problem. You might avoid to use an iFrame and instead use the old embed code of Vimeo, see this site for more information: http://www.miracletutorials.com/howto-embed-vimeo/

AndyOctober 7, 2014 at 2:16 pm #331589Thanks Andy, but I am not using the embed code, I am using the video’s URL in the background video field of the color section, which doesn’t even take any html.
I think the problem is that looping with Vimeo in the background of a color section is simply not consistent. Can you please confirm this with the developer? This functionality is crucial to my project and the primary reason I am using Enfold.
Thank you.

Just checked the video on multiple firefox installations and it worked fine on any one of them, no matter which settings I used and if I added text to the color section or not. Are you running any firefox plugins that might interfere here?
This might unfortunately be tricky to solve if I cant reproduce the problem :/

KriesiOctober 10, 2014 at 2:42 pm #333852Thank you for investigating the matter. I will do some more testing myself as well and will let you know if I discover any patterns.
