Tagged: color section
When I insert a color section on the page it takes the full screen width and my (right) sidebar all moves below it (with all blank space filling everything to its left). Why doesn’t it allow me to first determine the size (1/2, 3/4, etc) and then insert the color section to fill that? What am I doing wrong?
Hi GGLNetwork!
Color Section element works only fullwidth and it would push the sidebar below it. Unfortunately, it cannot be used inside another column element

Hi
So then is colour section the only way to add colour? I have some 1/4 sections that I need to make stand out by being a specific colour, is this possible?
Thank you,
Mary
Hi!
@Mary: Do you mind providing a screenshot of what you’re trying to do? With CSS you can add background colors on any elements. You can also add unique selector to any elements on the advance layout builder except for column layouts. Refer to this link for more info:

Hi Ismael,
I can’t figure out how to attach a screenshot here. I am not sure how comfortable I feel messing with CSS so if that is the only way to add a background colour to a text box, I will just work with what is available.
Thank you,
Mary
Hi!
You can upload your screenshots on imgur.com or Dropbox public folder and post the links here

Hey!
Can you post the link to your website please?
Cheers!

Hi!
Thank you for the update.
You can set the page to No Sidebar then add 3/4 and 1/4 column layouts inside the color section. Add the Widget Area element (sidebar) on the 1/4 column and the contents on 3/4 columns.

Ismael
Hi Ismael,
Thank you so much for your response! This worked great except putting the elements in the colour section caused some extra white space and a line to be added above, so I added the elements without a colour section and it’s perfect, though now I need to decide if I want to use it this way or my work around way lol
Thanks again,
Mary
