Hi there, I’ve realized that the breadcrumbs inside portfolio items are not ok when I’m using WPML. At the begining, I though it was something related with my child theme, because the heavy changes I made it in. But after I try to do it with a fresh install of wordpress using just 3 Plugins and the lastest enfold version (2.9.2) without modify anything:
- WPML Multilingual CMS (v.3.1.7.2)
- WPML String Translation (v2.0.9.1)
- WPML Translation Management (v1.9.6)
I will show you in images, because I don’t know how to explain properly in english.
This is the image that I have for my page from a portfolio (only one item, but is write in spanish)
And this is the english portfolio
At this point, breadcrumbs works properly. We have “Inicio – Pagina en castellano” for spanish version and “Home – Page in english” for the english one.
The problem came, when I click on the portfolio item:
As you can see the breadcrumb is “Inicio – Page in english – Ejemplo 1 – Castellano” instead of “Inicio – Pagia en castellano – Ejemplo 1 – Castellano”
For English items works properly, but not in spanish.
I hope you can help me with this issue. Thank you.

September 30, 2014 at 4:04 pm #327362Hi Pedro,
The breadcrumbs work as expected if you start from the homepage, but not if you change the language while being in the portfolio item and that’s because the breadcrumbs are session based (it stores the previous page name regardless of hierarchy), i’m not sure if there is a workaround to this to be honest, i have tagged the head of support.

October 1, 2014 at 3:52 pm #328192Hi!
You can set a parent page for each portfolio entry on the editor page: http://www.clipular.com/c/5198686768332800.png?k=XCnwJbsWVudAHLg8NN5bnmxTg94
If no parent page is set the session data will be used which is not always accurate.Cheers!
