    I’ve uploaded this pdf file
    (See private file)

    The file exists in media library but don’t work, can’t view it on the link. Have tried to upload several times.
    Tried the same thing in another wordpress installation and it worked just fine.

    Can it be Enfold theme that is doing it?

    Another question – If I want to upgrade the theme, can this be done without losing information?
    I guess the best practice is using a child theme?

    How do i install a child theme without losing information and custom css?

    Hey Condesign_kista!

    Try switching to any of the twenty something themes and see if the link works. There shouldn’t be anything on the theme side which could or should effect files inside of the uploads folder being accessible.

    You can update your theme and not lose any settings without using a child theme. You only need to use a child theme if you modify the actual theme files.
