    Only if the post format is ‘image’ do the posts display the featured image uncropped, but I’d like to have the option to use a range of post formats without the image cropping. I tried to fix this with CSS but the image is generated cropped so it’ll be something in functions.php I imagine. Please help?

    Hey!

    Do the following:
    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the entry_without_sidebar image size (increase its height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails, click the button at the bottom.
