Very strange – mega menu with about 40 items in it appears as one long vertical – instead of the page width approach it normally takes.
any ideas what might be causing this?
here’s a grab of what i’m describing:

link to the site in private – choose 55-57 Tbird for the dropdown example.
thanks for your help!
September 13, 2014 at 12:48 pm #318495Hi charger70!
Thank you for using Enfold.
I’m not sure what’s causing the issue but please try to deactivate the plugins then test it again. If that doesn’t work, try to override the theme files, see if it gets fixed.

IsmaelSeptember 13, 2014 at 6:43 pm #318563Ismael – i deactivated all plugins on my test version of the site – no change.
It may be important to note that the dropdown is WooCommerce product categories – would that make a difference? It shouldn’t, but i wanted to mention it.
I don’t know what “override the theme files” means. Can you explain further?
September 13, 2014 at 7:23 pm #318577well, i changed the menu to be groupings of parts with submenu items and that resolved the issue – apparently there’s a limit to how many items mega menu wants to display (i had 44). i did use the menu limit detector plugin as recommended in another thread, but that did not give me any warnings, so i assume that 44 items on a mega menu should be fine.
in any event, there we go. check the link in private and you’ll see what i mean.
any ideas as to why it wouldn’t just arrange them normally, and did that single column thing?
September 14, 2014 at 6:07 am #318775Hey!
Hmm.. that’s strange. Anyway, glad you figured that out. If you want to change the maximum menu limit, you can increase the max_input_vars value. Please refer to this thread: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/increase-max_input_vars-value-and-htaccess
Cheers!
