    The Facebook Likebox widget is showing up fine in my footer. My footer has a deep blue background, My question is: can I format the text that appears in the lightbox to be white ?

    Hi!

    When you say lightbox, are you referring to the lightbox plugin? or the facebook box? I’m sorry but you can’t edit the facebook widget via css. It will use the default facebook colors. You can try this plugin: http://plugins.topdevs.net/simple-facebook-plugin/

    You can also create your own facebook box. Choose the Dark color scheme: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages

    I ended up using the Facebook Like box widget that’s included in Jetpack. It has options for light and dark.
