For the past few days we are experiencing issues with the Advanced Layout Editor on the latest version of the Enfold theme, preventing us from editing content on all pages of our website (http://www.stayorlandovacations.com). While you can view the website without any issues, the automatic upgrade to WP 4.0 by our managed hosting disabled the ALE with a spinning icon that never refreshes to show the editor.
Our questions are simple:
1. Is there a fix (i.e. Enfold theme update compatible with WP 4.0) being worked on and by when we can expect this to be resolved?
2. Is it better to downgrade to 3.9.2 or should we just “sit tight” until the fix is released?
3. Was this issue preventable (other than avoiding the upgrade of future WP versions)?We are in dire need to make updates to our website and would appreciate any information you can provide to resolve this issue and restore the Advanced Layout Editor functionality.
