    Hi again!
    I am facing some trouble with the Backgroundvideo. It is really a gorgeous feature i like a lot. But (At least) when viewed with Safari 6 the video is showing artefacts and is stuttering. Using FF it works quite good but after some time it seems to get stuck. Sometimes (when i resize the browser) black gaps on top and below are showing up. I did not test on other browsers or mobile devices by now.
    Maybe it would be generally useful to add some code, that a still frame is shown on mobile devices instead of the video.
    FYI: The video i used is a self-hosted .mp4-file.

    What can I do?

    The problem is that the video you are trying to put is ‘private’.

    Hey Josue!
    Thank you for your help. I´m really sorry but I tried to fix the problem by my self meanwhile by replacing the self-hosted video with a youtube video because i have read that this may cause all the problems. I now have changed back to the original self-hosted video, so that you can see what i have meant. Sorry for that.
    I swear i will not change it for at least 3 days ;-)

    the video i am going to use will be purchased from shutterstock. (now it´s just a preview)
    So isn´t it a copyright issue to put that on youtube for everyone???

    Hi!

    It seems to be a Safari problem with HTML5 videos, can you reproduce the issue here (check it in Safari)?

    HI again!
    I checked your link in Safari. The problems are almost the same.(takes very long time to load before the video is starting and then stuttering). The only difference is, that the blocky artefacts are not showing up.

    Hey!

    I’d suggest using YouTube or Vimeo instead as this seems to be a problem with Safari and HTML5 mp4 videos (not related to theme).

    Hey!
    Using youtube works well. I´ll have to find out how to increase quality of the video as it seams that the youtube version is low quality…
