the enfold plugins mack my website run very slow
how do i fix it?August 12, 2014 at 1:04 pm #303168Hey avikatzav!
Which plugins are you talking about? Enfold is compatible with many plugins but you do not need to install any of them unless you need to use them.
Best regards,

my server is on Ipage! its connect?August 12, 2014 at 3:49 pm #303264I am no pro or support but slow wordpress sites can be caused my multiple facts: server, too many plugins, and so on. wordpress ist a mamut cms and needs lots of resources (RAM). Check this first.
August 12, 2014 at 4:26 pm #303283Hey!
Yes, I recommend to increase the allocated php memory to 128M (see http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/ ). Then try to install: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/ and: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/ to cachhe the website data and to minify/compress the js/css files.

August 13, 2014 at 4:42 am #303605Hey!
There’s a database error connection when I try to check the page. Usually minimizing the image file sizes and number of plugins that you install will greatly improve the performance. These are the things that you can do to optimize the website speed and page load courtesy of the wordpress community:
1. Optimize all images with AI/Photoshop before uploading to server ‘save as web safe’ jpg
2. Once all images are on the website, optimize with ewww optimizer plugin twice 1hr 10mins apart.
3. Install wp-smushit run once to remove jpeg extra data, then uninstall.
4. Use BWP minify plugin to minify scripts and stylesheets.
5. Install WP-Super cache, select all recommended settings.
6. Logout your website, visit every page at least once to create super cache files.
7. Join Cloudflare setup your website on their CDN, Choose options: Full CDN Optimisation save then activate purge files. once done log out.
8. Have a cup of coffee.
9. Visit your site after 20 minutes or so.
10. Don’t forget to smile. Also, getting a dedicated server for your website is a must if you want to fully optimize the speed of the website.
