    Hi guys,

I’ve just done the following site for a client and I noticed that the color background video is not loading on Firefox and IE, both on my Pc, Mac, his Pc’s and other regular Pc’s from people we asked around:

http://www.bangkokplanet.com (scroll down to the ‘The City of Angels’section, there should be a video)

Any clue on how to fix it?

    Thanks,

    Antonio

    Hey Antonio!

Make sure you have Flash installed. Which version of IE are you referring to?

    Hey Josue!

I have Shockwave Flash installed as add-on on Firefox, is that the right one? If not, which add-on should I install?

As for IE the version is 9.0.8112

    Thanks for the help,
    Antonio

    Hey Antonio!

    You should install this:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

    Hey Josue!

I have it installed already, yet it’s not showing the video background on Firefox.

Can you view the video in the background half way on the following site: http://www.bangkokplanet.com/

I just see a black background on Firefox and IE.

    Thanks,

    Antonio

    Hi Antonio!

Yeah, i could reproduce it on my Firefox install, try disabling all third-party plugins to discard if that’s the root of the issue.

Regarding IE, i believe that’s not supported, you’d need to set a image background fallback.

    Cheers!

    Hi Josue!

Thanks for the tip! Curiously enough, I can see the video background on Firefox for the following site (http://vacationrentalworldsummit.com/registerfree/) but not for Bangkokplanet.com.

So I guess you mean I should deactivate the third party plugins on Bangkokplanet.com and check that out, not the add ons on Firefox, right?

Thanks for clarifying about IE. Much appreciated.

    have a great day!

    Antonio

    Hi!

Yes, the ones in the WordPress install and if you have any Firefox addons (like adblocker), too.

    Best regards,
    Josue
